Moodle Mobile 3.1 was released at the same time as the core Moodle 3.1 software. The new version contains three new features that many will find useful – the ability to take quizzes offline, the ability to take quizzes on a mobile device and the ability to view lesson plans.
The Moodle For Schools offerings for MoodleCloud are essentially an expansion of the original free service. The goal behind these offerings is to enable primary and secondary schools to easily adopt the Moodle platform for multiple classes with a “one click” purchase and set up process. The cloud service provides a theme that can be configured as well as a variety of popular teaching tools. As with any hosted service, Moodle takes care of all the upgrades and maintenance to ensure schools always have a stable platform with the latest and greatest versions of Moodle and associated plugins.

We've seen a lot of focus on the LMS Market in the US, especially with excitement around Canvas and what might (or might not) be happening with Blackboard. As such, it was refreshingly unexpected to see ans article to see an article from the folks over at LISTedTECH on Learning Management Systems in Canada.
